The Signalman is a story that has never been screened before. Loosely based on an eponymous short story by Charles Dickens, the short is directed by Daniel Augusto, from Albatroz (2019) and  The Pilgrim: Paulo Coelho’s Best Story (2014).

According to Italo Calvino, Dickens’ work is among the most important in fantastic literature. This tense story portrays a man confronting his inner fears, living in a desolate railroad facility and facing incredible otherworldly events.

The film premiered in the Toronto International Film Festival and has been awarded in the following events:

Festival Luz de Fotografía (Argentina, 2016) – Best Cinematography
ABC Awards (Brazil, 2016) – Best Cinematography
Fest Aruanda (Brazil, 2015) – Best Sound, Cinematography and Editing
